AIC measures relative quality of statistical models, given data. $$AIC = 2k - 2 \ln L,$$ where $k$ is the number of parameters and $L$ is the maximum value of likelihood function (see Maximum likelihood estimation).

AICc is AIC with correction for finite sample size and defined as $$AICc = AIC + \frac{2k(k+1)}{n - k - 1}.$$
