Easy cooked bean + alpha
In the simplest sense, it’s just - Heat aromatics (onions with salt/pepper) and heat more with black bean (e.g., canned black bean including the liquid)
You can vary this fundamental recipe by considering: - more aromatics and spices including garlic, chili pepper, chipotle (adobo), cumin, coriander, curry powder, garam masala, turmeric, oregano, paprika, and so on. You can totally experiment with a variety of spices. Be sure to bloom them with oil for a moment before adding beans. - Other beans such as white beans, pinto beans, etc. can be added. - Some of the beans can be crushed to thicken it. The liquid in the can is also good for make it saucy. Note that this introduces salt to the dish. If you use the liquid, salt less. - Corn can be added as well. - Garnish at the end with freshness, like cilantro, lemon, lime, etc.
