Criticality

Statistical physics, Phase transition

Criticality refers to the condition of a system at a critical point (Phase transition).

The system looks the same across scales.

It is also linked to universality. Universality implies that systems with very different microscopic details can exhibit the same critical behavior, characterized by the same power laws

Physics

Scale invariance emerges at critical point because the system does not have a characteristic length scale.
