The spectrum of pasta cooking methods is basically determined by the amount of starch that will remain in the final dish. One-pan pasta is the most “efficient” way and capture all starch, making a very creamy sauce. However, too much starch may not what you want. Using a pan with not much water can be the next. The traditional way of using a lot of water will capture the least amount of starch.
