Shares first author and co-author Dashun Wang with Furnas2024partisan, which examines partisan biases in science policy, and relates to Sugimoto2017scientists‘s work on how movement restrictions affect scientist impact.

This study uses a randomized experiment to show that policy makers are much more likely to show a support for a proposal that involves German collaborators than Chinese ones. Similar discount for the researchers as well.
